The Global Costs of the Iraq Conflict: An Evening with Nobel Prize-Winning Economist Joseph Stiglitz

Hello members and students! The World Affairs Council's event series will be presenting Nobel Prize-Winning Economist Joseph Stiglitz on “The Global Costs of the Iraq Conflict,” on October 16. The lecture will be held at Seattle University’s Campion Ballroom where, after his lecture, Dr. Stiglitz will participate in a moderated question and answer session. What have been the true costs of the Iraq war? What will be the long-term impacts of these costs on our economy, on top of the rising price of oil and federal bailouts? How should the next U.S. administration think about its policy priorities, if it considers all the non-budgetary costs of the war? These are just some of the issues that will be discussed and presented by Professor Stiglitz.

If attending this amazing event wasn't enough, the Global Development Project club will be subsidizing half of the ticket price for the first 10 students who will be registering to attend the event through the Global Development Project club!
